Actea brunette
Actea are late-season blooming perennials, which thrive in rich moist woodland situations.  Arching wands or bottlebrush spikes of highly fragrant pale-pink or white flowers rise above the clump in early fall. Plants will take about three years to develop into a mature clump. A striking specimen! The Brunette and Hillside Black varieties are always a favourite. Actea prefer not to have too much competition for space, and so are good paired with low ground covers such as Ajuga or Vinca.
