Alchemilla is extremely popular for the beautiful foliage texture this lends to the garden. Plants form a mound of rounded, velvety soft olive-green leaves, which catch and hold water drops, then sparkle in the sun. This plant will survive and thrive even in more difficult dry situations. The yellow flower last through the spring, and then should be sheared off to tidy the plant. Makes an unusual ground cover when used in quantity.
