Lenten Roses are unusual very early blooming plants. Leathery thick leaves sit below large cup shaped flowers. This plant seeks shade, and needs a good quality moist  organic rich soil. Plants resent moving. Worth the effort. Evergreen, clean up dead foliage in spring.

Pairs well with Aquilegia, Heuchera, Actea.
